Reservation Policy
Certain conditions may vary from one hotel to the next.
Check-in time
Rooms are guaranteed to be available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival. Check-in before 4 p.m. is subject to room availability.
Departure time
Rooms must be vacated by 12 noon. Late check-out may be permitted on the day of departure, subject to availability, at a cost of $10 per additional hour. Any late check-out not authorised by reception will incur a charge equivalent to one night's stay at the published rate plus applicable taxes.
Reservations
Your reservation will be confirmed when you receive our affirmative response to your request, after we have received your credit card number and valid expiry date as a guarantee. During certain periods, a reservation of two nights or more may be required.
Guarantees
A valid credit card number (Credit cards accepted: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club and JCB.) is required upon reservation, as a guarantee to hold the reservation. Debit-credit cards are not accepted.
In case of no-show or late cancellation, a charge equal to the first night, plus applicable taxes, will be charge on the credit card.
Deposit Policy
A valid credit card is also requested upon check-in, to be preauthorized for an amount equivalent to the total of the stay, plus a deposit of 100$ to 250$ depending on number of room occupants, duration of stay and room type reserved. If the client does not have a credit card, full payment will be required upon check-in as well as a cash deposit of $100 to $250 depending on the number of room occupants, duration of stay and room type reserved.
Cancellation policy
If you wish to cancel, please do so 24 hours or more prior to the day of your arrival (local time) to avoid cancellation penalties unless otherwise specified for your specific reservation. All cancellations received after this delay will automatically result in a charge equivalent to one night, plus applicable taxes and potential additional charges. Cancellation policy applied to groups: according to the booking agreement.
Shortened stay policy
You may shorten your stay by giving notice of departure before noon (12 p.m.) on the day of early departure, at no charge.
Non-refundable rates
All reservations confirmed under a non-refundable rate type will be fully charged upon confirmation, on the credit card provided upon reservation. No refund will be granted in case of cancellation or modification.
Minimum age
Guests must be at least 18 years old in order to check-in at the hotel. All guests under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
Child policy
Children under 18 years old stay for free when sharing the room with their parents. A surcharge may apply when reserving packages that have other inclusions. A maximum of 2 children staying for free is accepted. Additional child will be considered as an adult.
Smoke free environment
We are proud to offer our guests a smoke free environment. Smoking is strictly prohibited on all hotel premises. All violation of the non-smoking policy will automatically result in a $150 charge, plus applicable taxes.
Excessive noise
A charge of $500 will automatically be levied in the event of excessive noise in rooms, common areas and corridors.
Pet friendly
We accept dogs and cats weighing 20 kilograms (45 pounds) or less, with a maximum of two per room at Hôtels Gouverneur Trois-Rivières and Hôtels Gouverneur Sept-Îles (animals are not accepted at Hôtels Gouverneur Rimouski). An additional fee of $35 per animal per night, plus taxes, applies. This does not apply to service animals and guide dogs, for which documentation or a collar must be presented at check-in.
When making your reservation, you must inform us that you are travelling with a pet. You must provide a mobile phone number upon arrival in case of any disturbances. Pets are allowed in certain rooms only and are not permitted in dining areas, the fitness centre or meeting rooms. Your pet must be on a leash or in a cage when outside the room and cannot be left alone in the room.
Housekeeping staff will not enter a room occupied by an animal without the supervision of its owner. If your pet causes a disturbance affecting the comfort of our other guests, you will be charged a $200 fee without prior notice. You may also be asked to leave the premises without a refund for your stay. You will be held responsible for any damage caused to hotel property by your pet or for any additional cleaning, and a fee of $300 will be charged.
